UKATA launches CPD Certification Service
In April this year, UKATA announced membership of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certification Service, and has now confirmed that all UKATA training certificates produced have CPD hours available and are eligible for CPD points.
UKATA launched its own CPD framework back in 2014 and UKATA Membership Manager, Debbie Nixon said “Recognising that asbestos training can involve a lot of vocational or practical learning and that safety must be accessible, it was acknowledged early that CPD would need to form a key component of any comprehensive training programme”
All UKATA Certificates produced by Enquin Environmental, UKATA members since 2009, will include the number of hours of CPD gained by each delegate.
The number of hours typically gained for an Asbestos course is as follows:
- Asbestos Awareness – New/Refresher Training = 4 CPD hours
- Asbestos non-licensable work with asbestos including NNLW = 8 CPD hours
- Duty To Manage – extension to asbestos awareness = 8 CPD hours
The UKATA Certificate will include the CPD Certified logo and the number of CPD hours gained by the delegate.
